Josh Rosen still has not been cleared yet for bowl game
Josh Rosen still has not been cleared to play in UCLA’s Cactus Bowl game against Kansas State.
Rosen was concussed in UCLA’s win over Cal on Nov. 24. That was his second concussion of the season, as he also suffered one on in an Oct. 28 loss to Washington.
The junior quarterback told reporters on Wednesday that he is still in concussion protocol and has not yet been cleared for contact.

UCLA plays Kansas State on Tuesday in the Cactus Bowl, and there have been no indications that Rosen will miss the game. In fact, ESPN’s Olivia Harlan reported that Rosen took first-team reps at the Bruins’ bowl practice Wednesday.

If Rosen does not play, backup Devin Modster would likely start.
There is speculation that Rosen might not play in order to protect his health in case he decides to enter the NFL Draft. However, keep in mind that Rosen said earlier this month he hasn’t made up his mind yet about the NFL.
