Josh Rosen: Shoulder surgery went 10 times better than expected

Josh Rosen underwent shoulder surgery on Monday and says the procedure went better than expected.

Rosen posted a photo on Instagram Tuesday that shows him with UCLA Bruins head coach Jim Mora. Mora came to visit Rosen on Monday night after the sophomore quarterback underwent shoulder surgery. The coach brought dessert to lift his QB’s spirits.

In his caption, Rosen said the surgery went 10 times better than expected.

Couldn't have asked for a better day. Surgery went 10x better than i could've imagined and expecting a full recovery. But I got a pleasant surprise last night when coach Mora stopped by my home with some treats. Even in times of adversity on and off the field, he couldn't be a better person or mentor for a young immature kid like me to look up to. I wouldn't want to play for anyone else, and couldn't be happier to be a Bruin and come back next year better than ever before.

Rosen was injured during UCLA’s game against Arizona State, which the team lost. The Bruins then lost three more games in a row without Rosen and are now 3-6. Rosen threw for 10 touchdowns and five interceptions this season. He is expected to be a potential No. 1 overall draft pick when he leaves school.
