Leonard Fournette demands to play after pregame scuffle
Leonard Fournette was not expected to play in Saturday’s game for LSU against Florida, but apparently that all changed following a pregame scuffle.
According to SEC Nation, the LSU junior running back asked Coach Ed Orgeron to play in the game after being shoved pregame:
SEC Nation just reported Fournette was not expected to play – but after being shoved during scuffle, he asked O if he could suit up. #LSU

Fournette’s status has been in question at many times this season because of a shaky ankle that has caused him to miss multiple games. He re-aggravated the ankle injury last week against Arkansas and wasn’t expected to play against the Gators, but apparently all he needed was some extra motivation.
Fournette entered Saturday’s game with 803 rushing yards and 8 rushing touchdowns on the season.
