Mark Richt has already heard from multiple schools
Mark Richt is going to be a hot commodity on the coaching market.
Fired by Georgia on Sunday, Richt said on his radio show Monday that he has already heard from about five schools. Football Scoop says South Carolina could be one of the programs with interest in the longtime Georgia coach.
247 Sports also reported that Maryland has talked with Richt about their opening. The Terps could be preparing to host Richt this week.
Richt is in the middle of his 15th season as head coach of the Bulldogs. He has agreed to coach the team through the bowl game.
A two-time SEC coach of the year, Richt led Georgia to two SEC titles and six SEC East crowns.
There will be no shortage of interest in him. We also believe Miami may have contacted him, though reports indicate the Hurricanes are far along in their search.
