Maty Mauk appears headed to Eastern Kentucky

Maty Mauk appears to be headed to Eastern Kentucky as a graduate transfer.

Mauk, who played quarterback at Missouri for three seasons before being kicked off the team, made some moves on his social media profiles that seem to show he is going to Eastern Kentucky.

Not only did he place on his Twitter and Instagram profiles Ohio-to-Missouri-to-EKU, but he also followed Eastern Kentucky’s football program and some staffers on Twitter:

Mauk also posted on his Instagram page Monday to indicate he had graduated from Mizzou.

Why would Mauk head to EKU? As Missouri recruiting reporter Ethan Triebsch pointed out, Mauk was recruited out of high school by Mark Elder, who was a running backs coach at Cincinnati at the time and is now the EKU head coach.

Mauk threw 42 touchdowns and 19 interceptions during his career with the Tigers. He was kicked off the Missouri football team in January, not long after a video of him doing cocaine emerged.
