Michigan football adding blue end zones for first time
There is a big — and cool — change coming to Michigan Stadium.
The Wolverines’ football program announced on Twitter Friday that they will be adding blue end zones for the first time in program history. They even shared a video showing blue turf being rolled out inside the stadium.

Michigan noted that the end zones will look similar to the 1998 Rose Bowl game with maize lettering spelling out “MICHIGAN” across the end zones.
The end zones are similar to many of our bowl games, including the 1998 @rosebowlgame when Michigan won the national title.

Previously the end zones had the same color turf as the rest of the field but with the maize lettering (as seen here). This is a cool change by the program.
