Michigan players tweet their support of fired Brady Hoke
Brady Hoke received a flurry of support from his players the day he was fired as head coach at Michigan after four years on the job.
Hoke was canned Tuesday amid a 5-7 season that included losses to rivals Ohio State, Notre Dame and Michigan State. His record declined in every season he was head coach following an 11-2 debut in 2011.
Below are the supportive tweets Hoke received from many of his players.
Quarterback Shane Morris:

Wide receiver Jack Wangler:
It may have not been perfect, but I couldn't thank Coach Hoke enough for all that he's done. I love him to death and wish him all the best

Tight end Jake Butt:
Love coach hoke and the rest of this staff. Wouldn't be half the player or man without them and for that I'm forever grateful

Running back Drake Johnson:
Sad day. Coach Hoke gave me a chance when no one else would..Thank you for that Coach. Literally wouldn't be playing at the UofM w/o him.

Linebacker Desmond Morgan:
Will never have one bad thing to say about coach Hoke. Can't thank such a great man enough for the way he impacted my life.

Even though his players appeared to love him, Hoke was unsuccessful and deserved to be fired. Michigan can do a lot better and needs a coach that will have the program at the top of the Big Ten again.
