Michigan suspends CB Nate Johnson indefinitely from all team activities
The No. 8-ranked Michigan Wolverines are still making the news during their bye week, albeit for less than ideal reasons.
The university announced on Saturday that second-year cornerback Nate Johnson has been suspended indefinitely from all team activities, per Adam Rittenberg of ESPN. The reasons for Johnson’s suspension were not disclosed.
The 19-year-old Johnson, who converted to cornerback after playing wideout for the team as a freshman last season, had yet to appear in a game for the 4-0 Wolverines in 2017. Given head coach Jim Harbaugh’s no-nonsense style, this type of team-imposed discipline on one of their players is hardly surprising.
