Rumors of Mike Gundy meeting with Baylor swirl
Some wild chatter emerged online Monday about Oklahoma State coach Mike Gundy meeting with Baylor about their head coaching vacancy, but we have to caution against the rumors.
Oklahoma State sideline reporter Robert Allen had a loosely sourced tweet saying Gundy was “apparently” meeting with Baylor.
Rumors look like more than rumors and Mike Gundy is apparently meeting with Baylor.

Dallas News’ Matt Mosley also said Gundy to Baylor was in play.
Nothing has happened yet. But I do think Mike Gundy is in play.

Despite the rumors, we caution you to take this too seriously. If anything, this might just be chatter designed to get Gundy a raise at Oklahoma State. Gundy has been at Oklahoma State for 12 seasons and has posted an impressive .673 winning percentage. He is hoping to lead the Cowboys to a fifth double-digit win season if his squad can beat Colorado in its bowl game.
The one thing that would support the notion of Gundy leaving Oklahoma State is his shaky relationship with booster T. Boone Pickens, which was detailed in this story.
