Report: Nick Saban will not leave Alabama for NFL

Nick Saban Alabama

Nick Saban has separated himself as perhaps the best coach in college football, so it’s no surprise that NFL teams are constantly reaching out to him. This time around, they might not even bother trying to pry him away from Alabama, according to a report.

Bleacher Report’s Jason Cole says that Saban will not leave Alabama for any NFL job. In the past, the thought was that the 64-year-old might want to go back to the NFL to prove he can succeed there after he had two mediocre seasons in Miami. However, Cole says that Saban is comfortable in Tuscaloosa and his thirst for new challenges has been quelled.

Bama fans will be thrilled to hear that Saban reportedly is blowing off all inquiries and questions from NFL teams this week because he wants his total focus on the college football championship game. Saban said as much over a week ago when he said he couldn’t see himself coaching anywhere other than Alabama.

Saban’s Crimson Tide will face Clemson a week from Monday as they go for their fourth national title under his leadership. The Indianapolis Colts were said to be a team interested in reaching out to the Crimson Tide head coach.
