Oregon football coach: Mike Bellotti names four on his list
Former Oregon football coach and current analyst Mike Bellotti knows whom he would try to hire as the next Ducks coach.
Bellotti, an analyst for ESPN/ABC college football, joined “The Paul Finebaum Show” on ESPN Monday and was asked about the vacancy at Oregon. Bellotti shared the four coaches he would interview for the job:

Even though Bellotti is the winningest coach in Oregon history and had a brief tenure as the school’s AD, it’s important to note that this is whom he would interview. We don’t know if current AD Rob Mullens will choose other candidates, although reports have said they have interviewed Taggart already.
Bellotti’s list includes two up-and-coming coaches in South Florida’s Taggart and Temple’s Matt Rhule, as well as two young but successful SEC coaches in Mullen and McElwain.
Of all the coaches on Bellotti’s list, McElwain seems least likely to take the position. He just started at another prominent school that is arguably a better job than the Oregon one, and he’s had a good amount of success. Oregon would be a step up for the other three coaches — especially Taggart and Rhule.
