Rashaan Evans signs with Alabama, stuns Auburn fans
Rashaan Evans, one of the most followed recruits in the Auburn/Alabama national signing day rivalry, committed to Alabama on Wednesday. The five-star outside linebacker and top-ranked player at his position is from Auburn and attends Auburn High School, which made the Tigers the favorite to land him. Instead, Nick Saban stole another one.
Evans will almost certainly emerge as public enemy No. 1 for Auburn fans after signing day. As Eye on College Football pointed out, Auburn seemed confident Evans was going to pick his hometown school up until he made his decision. The image you see below appeared on Auburn’s athletics website before Evans announced his decision.
