Ray Lewis’ son to transfer to Maryland
After beginning his collegiate football career in the Mountain West Conference, Rayshad Lewis is transferring to a school in the Big Ten.
Lewis, son of NFL great Ray Lewis, announced on Monday he will soon play for D.J. Durkin at Maryland. He posted a photo of himself wearing a Terrapins jersey and gloves to his Twitter account along with the words “New chapter… You ain’t gotta understand just sit back and watch.”

He will have to sit out the upcoming season, but Lewis will be eligible to play during the 2018 season.
As a freshman last season for the Aggies, Lewis hauled in 40 passes for 476 yards. Both rank second in school history among freshmen. Lewis also had 2 touchdown receptions. He also carried the ball 10 times for 110 yards and another score.
