Top quarterback recruit Ricky Town is moving quickly in his search for a new school.
Town, one of the top recruits in the 2015 high school class, was granted his release by USC over the weekend. Bo Mattingly reported Wednesday night that Town was in Arkansas for a visit and that he would attend the team’s practice.

247 Sports reported Tuesday that Arkansas and Florida were two schools where Town was considering transferring. They note that per his release from USC, Town cannot transfer to any Pac-12 school or Alabama, Arkansas State, Idaho, UNLV, Notre Dame, Utah State, Western Michigan, Texas or BYU. All of those schools are future Trojans opponents.
Town enrolled at USC in January. By getting his release from USC last weekend, Town has time to enroll at a new school prior to the start of the school year. That would make him eligible to play after sitting out the upcoming season.
