UCLA LB Stan McKay proposes to girlfriend after win over Washington (Video)

UCLA came away with another big win on Friday night, defeating a very good Washington team by a score of 41-31 in Pasadena. The win itself worth celebrating, but linebacker Stan McKay stole the show after the game by proposing to his girlfriend on the field.

McKay’s Bruins teammates and coaches — Jim Mora included — gathered around the senior to watch him get down on one knee and pop the question. Unfortunately, we could not hear what he said to his lady friend. The important thing is we clearly heard her say “yes” in response, which sent the team into a frenzy.

We have seen players propose to their girlfriends after games in the past and it never seems to get old. Plus, UCLA needed this. Remember that guy who got rejected on the jumbotron at a UCLA basketball game? Yeah, the one who later created a documentary about how he was rejected and dumped because of the size of his, well, you know. At least McKay didn’t end up like him.
