Steak House forced to clarify promotion after Michigan demolishes Rutgers
If you want to get an idea of how badly Michigan manhandled Rutgers on Saturday night, look no further than a restaurant that was forced to clarify the promotion it was offering because the score of the game got so out of hand.
Prior to Michigan’s game against the Scarlet Knights, Ruth’s Chris Steak House in Ann Arbor announced its “Score Big” promotion for the remainder of the college football season. The idea is that customers receive a discount equal to the amount of points the Wolverines beat their opponents by.
Well, Michigan beat Rutgers by 78 points — that’s right, it was 78-0 — and had many hungry fans thinking they just scored 78 percent off a premium cut of steak. However, as The Big Lead pointed out, Ruth’s Chris clarified what the fine print already said.
That’s a bummer. With the way the Wolverines look, they might end up beating someone 100-0 before the end of the season. Unfortunately, that won’t mean a free meal from Ruth’s Chris. That would have been a great recruiting tool for Harbaugh to add to his already impressive approach.
