Texas A&M freshman Will Gunnell apologizes for ‘ill-advised’ gesture at fans
Texas A&M freshman Will Gunnell showed great contrition after the Aggies’ 45-21 win over Louisiana-Lafayette on Saturday.
The Aggies went into halftime trailing 21-14 before pouring things on in the second half. Gunnell made headlines when he was shown by TV cameras flipping off fans as he was running towards the tunnel for halftime.
After the game, Gunnell posted a statement of apology on Twitter. He called his gesture “ill-advised” and said it would haunt him for the rest of his life.

Gunnell was not on the field for the second half of the game. He has not registered any stats this season.
