Texas athletic director avoids Charlie Strong questions after loss to Kansas State
The Texas Longhorns dropped to 3-4 after a 24-21 loss to Kansas State on Saturday, putting coach Charlie Strong’s future in further doubt.
Naturally, reporters trailed Texas athletic director Mike Perrin after the defeat looking for insights on Strong’s future with the school. They didn’t receive any answers.

Strong’s Longhorns have Baylor looming next. As of yet, there is no indication that he’s going anywhere. In fact, it had been previously reported that, while Strong’s job isn’t safe, he was likely on until the end of the season and gone after that. That said, Kansas State isn’t a team Texas would have expected to lose to, and perhaps Perrin will reassess that plan in light of the result.
