Trevor Knight granted release of scholarship by Oklahoma

Trevor Knight will be looking to transfer schools in the coming months now that he has been granted a full release of his scholarship by Oklahoma, according to a report.

Sooner Scoop reports that Knight was granted a full release by Oklahoma and will not be blocked from transferring to any school.

Knight reportedly plans to graduate this semester and would be eligible to play next season if he does that. Kansas State, Georgia, SMU and Oregon are among the schools he is looking at transferring to. He recently began following Twitter accounts associated with those schools.

Knight, a junior, showed promise after leading Oklahoma to a Sugar Bowl victory over Alabama as a freshman. He flopped as a sophomore, passing for just 14 touchdowns compared to 12 interceptions, and he was supplanted by Baker Mayfield as the starter this year.

Let’s just hope Katy Perry hasn’t jumped off his bandwagon yet.
