Twitter reacts to Rutgers’ awful passing day
The Rutgers Scarlet Knights are not known for being a great football program, but their futility on Saturday went above and beyond what they’re usually known for.
Rutgers attempted 17 passes against the Maryland Terrapins on Saturday and completed just two of them for a grand total of eight yards. Five of them were intercepted between starter Artur Sitkowski and backup Giovanni Rescigno, whose lone attempt was picked.
Naturally, Twitter was left aghast by Rutgers’ passing futility.

Rutgers football is like modern American politics. You constantly think "it can't possibly get worse", and are always wrong. https://t.co/5Xpu5BeFhm

If you’re wondering, that means 8.47% of the passes Sitkowski has thrown this season have been picked off.
Eight Point Four Seven Percent.

Thanks to Art Sitkowski, Eli Manning isn't the worst Quarterback in New Jersey. #RFootball #GiantsPride

It turns out there’s a reason behind Rutgers football being little more than a punchline. You almost have to feel sorry for the kid.
