Tyvis Powell unsuccessfully tries to talk his way out of cutting grass
As a sophomore, Tyvis Powell started all 15 games for Ohio State on their way to the national championship. He had nine tackles in the title game and was named the game’s defensive MVP. All that said, when at home Powell still has to help out with the chores.
On Sunday, the grass at the Powell house needed to be mowed and Tyvis tried his best to talk his way out of it. Unfortunately, his efforts were unsuccessful. “Told moms I’m the starting SS for the preseason #1 CFB team. No way I’m cutting the grass. U see who won that convo” Powell wrote on Twitter along with posting the above photo.
Later, Powell was quite proud of his landscaping skills and posted another photo, this time of the finished product.

Accomplishments and accolades are nice, but at mom’s house, she makes the rules.
