UCF sends funny tweet about being left out of playoff
The UCF Knights were never really a factor in the College Football Playoff race despite their 12-0 record, and they made light of that after the field was announced Sunday morning.
Alabama became the last team into the field, nudging ahead of Ohio State in controversial fashion — but UCF’s Twitter account joked that it was they who were snubbed.

This is tongue-in-cheek, though there will probably be some real frustration that the 12-0 season didn’t get more recognition. Such are the pitfalls of playing in the Group of Five. Their coach certainly succeeded in parlaying that success into a nice new gig, though.
