Hey, Larry, is it fair to keep showing your page showcasing Swinney’s response in the too- friendly context of pretending we still think Spurrier said what we now know he didn’t say?  What Swinney said will no doubt continue to warm the cockles of Clemson hearts –but hey, he is NOT responding to anything Spurrier said, only something he thought and probably hoped Spurrier said so he, Swinney, could be the better sport and still say what every Tiger probably believes, thus maybe helping save his job, too. Of course, the media people in your video were determined to squeeze that oration our of him before they went away happy. Swinney has been a helluva coach, but losing 3 in a row to Carolina is, we know, not easily permitted. He’s still sitting there, so I guess influential folks must figure he ain’t half bad at his line of work. AND he talks their language, right?

Larry, don’t you think the above comment should appear on the same web page where your big headline currently says something like (or maybe exactly like) “Dabo Swinney Crushes Steve Spurrier “South Carolina Will Never Be Clemson.”  …. ?? … Does the fact that one guy tweeted it make it OK to put it in Spurrier’s mouth and have Dabo “Crush” him for it on the same dime?OK, your decision here, but I thought we had a straight-ahead rivalry going — or do we have to go along with Coach Swinney and call it a “domination” so he can stay happy when he loses that handful he just wrote off as a few good Gamecock years soon gone forever?
