Wisconsin trolls Minnesota over rivalry dominance
Wisconsin and Minnesota will meet on Saturday in the battle for Paul Bunyan’s Axe, but the Badgers are already getting things going with the rivalry.
Wisconsin sent a tweet on Monday trolling the Golden Gophers for their lack of recent success in the rivalry.
Nobody has ever tweeted that Minnesota beat Wisconsin because @twitter didn't exist the last time Minnesota beat Wisconsin. #AxeWeek pic.twitter.com/4tMcxESn7g

Harsh … but true.
Minnesota leads the all-time series 59-58-8, but they have only won the game twice since 1995. Their last victories came in 2001 and 2003. The Badgers became a football power in the mid-90s, while Minnesota became a middling Big Ten team, which explains how Wisconsin has been able to close the gap in the rivalry.
Wisconsin is 9-2 and Minnesota 8-3 this season, but the Badgers are highly ranked and thus highly favored in the contest. Maybe this tweet will help provide a little motivation for Minnesota entering the game.
