Construction worker rescued from burning building in Houston (Video)
If your palms don’t sweat while watching a construction worker trying to find a way out of a burning building while standing on a balcony several stories up, you may not have a pulse. Earlier this week, a housing complex that was in the process of being built in Houston somehow caught fire. One worker was nearly trapped with the blaze.
Rescue workers were able to bring the man to safety with a ladder truck, but not before he had to dangerously jump one balcony down to avoid the heat from the flames that were pouring out of the top floor.
As if the situation wasn’t terrifying enough, almost the entire top floor of the building collapsed about 10 seconds after the worker reached safety. The situation could have ended far worse, and we commend the rescue workers for their efforts and the construction worker for somehow remaining calm.
