Fire at James Blake’s house ruled murder-suicide
Four people were found dead Wednesday inside a Tampa mansion owned by former tennis player James Blake, and police have now determined that the deaths were the result of a murder-suicide.
A man named Darrin Campbell was renting the mansion and had been living there for a year and a half, according to TMZ. Police say he shot his wife and their two teenage kids before setting the house on fire.
The fire department says fireworks were going off around the home when they arrived at the scene.
An automatic weapon registered to Campbell was found at the scene, and there is footage of him buying fireworks a few days before the incident. He reportedly told the clerk that he was shopping early for July 4th when he bought the fireworks.
