Ninja ride at Magic Mountain hits tree, leaves riders injured

Four people were injured and around 24 stranded when the Ninja ride at Magic Mountain in Valencia, Calif., hit a tree on Monday night, according to multiple reports.

The Ninja ride is one where the track is several feet above ground at almost all times and the riders sit in cars that hang suspended below the track. The ride is located in the southwest end of the park and reaches up to 55 mph. The track flies around and through several trees in the area.

One tree reportedly fell onto the track, leading to the accident.

Rescue teams were working to help the situation.

Ninja is one of the older rides in a park full of new, monster roller coasters. It doesn’t get as high speed compared to some of the other ones in the park, but it is a lot of fun and is more on par with one of the bigger rides you would see at a place like Disneyland.
