Rock and roll legend Prince was reportedly found dead at his home on Thursday. He was 57.

Multiple sources confirmed to TMZ that Prince has passed away.

Prince, whose full name is Prince Rogers Nelson, had a medical emergency on April 15 that resulted in his private jet making an emergency landing in Illinois. However, he went ahead with his concert as scheduled the next day and assured fans he was doing fine. His representatives later told TMZ that the artist was hospitalized with the flu. He had cancelled two shows for health reasons prior to his most recent appearance.

Prince won seven Grammy Awards. One of his most famous performances came at the Super Bowl in 2007, when he performed his hit “Purple Rain” during a downpour in Miami. You can watch the performance here.
