Ryan Tannehill’s wife Lauren left behind a rifle in rental car
Someone in the Tannehill family must be into hunting or gun collecting, and we doubt it is Lauren.
NBC Miami reported on Wednesday that Lauren Tannehill, the wife of Miami Dolphins quarterback Ryan Tannehill, left an AR-15 rifle behind in a rental car that she returned to the airport two weeks ago.
The Broward Sheriff’s Office says Tannehill rented a 2013 Nissan from a company at the Fort Lauderdale Airport on Jan. 4. She supposedly left in the car but returned a few hours later to swap it for a different car. Another person ended up in the original car later that night and noticed that the gun had been left behind. The person was told to drop the rifle off at a police station, which is how the dots were connected back to Mrs. Tannehill.
The gun owner was notified about picking up their property. The Dolphins said Ryan Tannehill told them the matter was “personal” and they said they respected that.
The rifle is supposedly popular among collectors, range enthusiasts and hunters, especially boar hunters.
I’m not a gun carrier or collector and being in the presence of one makes me nervous. Not to go all political on you, but I advocate stricter gun control measures. However, I will say that the thought of the leggy Lauren holding a rifle at her side is pretty sexy.
