Video after car crash at SXSW kills two
Two people died and more than 20 others were injured after a car crashed into a crowd at the South by Southwest festival in Austin early Thursday morning.
One person recorded a video in the aftermath following the car crash and interviewed some people who witnessed the scene. One man described the car as a ’90s looking Subaru that crashed into the crowd.
Two women who were waiting to go into a club said the car was doing about 70 mph when it plowed into the group.
“I saw all these people flying … it was terrifying,” said one of the witnesses.
Two people were confirmed dead on the scene, more than 20 others were transported to various hospitals, and 5-7 had more serious injuries, according to the AP.
The driver who killed the people is in custody.
