San Antonio took a 2-0 lead with a solid performance in overtime on Tuesday night, which was enough to overwhelm at least one fan in the building.

As you can see, some Spurs fan screamed “We did it!” after the final buzzer sounded and made the win official. Keep in mind that this is a San Antonio team that has won four NBA championships with Gregg Popovich and Tim Duncan, so a 2-0 lead in a conference final is hardly enough to please its fans. Well, except that guy.

Unlike the lady who ruined the broadcast of a Spurs game against the Golden State Warriors earlier in the playoffs, this gentleman’s screech at the end of the game was harmless. Sometimes it’s just impossible to contain your excitement after a postseason victory.

Sergio Garcia is clearly not yet ready to let his spat with Tiger Woods fizzle out, and he may have taken things too far with a comment on Tuesday night. While speaking with the media at a dinner for the European Tour, a reporter tried to bait Garcia by asking him if he was planning to have Woods over for dinner during the US Open. His response was regrettable.

“We will have him around every night,” Garcia said, via Devil Ball Golf. “We will serve fried chicken.”

Uh oh. Prior to that comment, the feud between Sergio and Tiger was entertaining and everything the two golfers had said about calling each other or not answering the phone was simply fueling their rivalry. Introducing racist comments into the war of words is unacceptable, and Garcia apparently realized that and apologized almost immediately.

“I apologize for any offense that may have been caused by my comment on stage during The European Tour Players’ Awards dinner,” Garcia reportedly told The Guardian. “I answered a question that was clearly made towards me as a joke with a silly remark, but in no way was the comment meant in a racist manner.”

Garcia may have been joking when he made the comment, but that doesn’t mean it wasn’t racist. Back in 1997 after Tiger won the Masters, Fuzzy Zoeller made a similar comment that is still talked about today. The same will probably be true of Garcia’s remark, and I’m sure he will regret it more and more with each passing day.

Mike Trout became the sixth Angels player to hit for the cycle when he turned the trick in a 12-0 blowout win over the Seattle Mariners on Tuesday night.

Trout showcased his diverse talents while achieving the milestone. He beat out an infield single to the right side in the third, drilled a triple to center in the fourth, roped a 3-run double down the left field line in the sixth, and he homered to center in the eighth on a low pitch to complete the cycle.

Trout’s grounder in the third would have been an out for most batters, but he was able to get a hit on it because of his elite speed. He also stretched what would have been a double for most people into a triple. And he showed his elite hitting ability by pulling an outside fastball down the line for a double, and by driving a pitch low in the zone out to deep center. Strength, speed, power, contact — Trout has all the tools.

Trout, 21, is the youngest player in the AL to hit for the cycle. He went 4-for-5 with 5 RBIs. The last Angels player to hit for the cycle was Chone Figgins in 2006. I’m guessing Trout will be able to stick around in the bigs a wee bit longer than Figgy did.

The other good signs for the Angels were that Erick Aybar hit two doubles and Josh Hamilton hit a home run. Hamilton now has at least one hit in seven of the team’s last eight games, which is a pretty big deal considering he hit .204 in April.

The Los Angeles Clippers decided not to bring back Vinny Del Negro as their head coach, and the upcoming free agency situation with Chris Paul may have a lot to do with it.

Paul, who completed his second season with the Clippers and finished fourth in league MVP voting, will be a free agent this summer. He reportedly supported a coaching change.

Yahoo! Sports’ Adrian Wojnarowski reports that Paul “wanted a new coach.”

CBS Sports’ Ken Berger says Paul “was not a fan” of Del Negro.

The Los Angeles Times’ Broderick Turner says Paul and Blake Griffin liked Del Negro personally but had doubts about his ability to lead the team to a championship.

It seems like the reports were pretty strong across the board that CP3 supported a change.

Even though the Clippers were highly successful in December and won all their game that month as part of a franchise-record 17-game winning streak, they lost in the first-round of the playoffs. It’s likely that a better coach would be able to get more from this talented team.

Names being mentioned in connection with the head coaching job include Lionel Hollins, Jeff and/or Stan Van Gundy, Byron Scott, Larry Drew, and Alvin Gentry. Current NBA assistants Mike Malone (Warriors) and Mike Budenholzer (Spurs) have also been mentioned.

The school fired him for his inappropriate relationship with a co-worker, lying about it to cover it up, and much more. Arkansas was coming off back-to-back double-digit win seasons, a BCS bowl game appearance, and a Cotton Bowl win, so you know Petrino’s actions were awfully bad for the school to deem them worthy enough to fire him. Combining the Arkansas scandal with the unprofessional way he left the Atlanta Falcons, it was conceivable that Petrino wouldn’t get another head coaching gig.

While Petrino did not coach the 2012 football season, Western Kentucky hired him in December as the replacement for Willie Taggart, who left for South Florida. During an interview with AL.com’s Tommy Hicks, Petrino said he did have some concern that he would not get an opportunity to coach again following the scandal.

Q: Was there a concern that the opportunity to get back in coaching wouldn’t be there for you?

A: Certainly, there was always that concern. I just worked hard and tried to fix things with my family and see what opportunities were going to come about. This one came about really quickly. I appreciated how direct and how aggressively Todd Stewart went about it.

Petrino is gearing up for the 2013 season. Arkansas stumbled to 4-8 under John L. Smith and replaced him with Bret Bielema, who went 68-24 over seven seasons at Wisconsin. I’m guessing it won’t take long for Petrino to dominate the Atlantic Sun Conference.

If there’s one thing we can take away here, it’s that as long as you’re a great football coach, there will probably always be a job for you. What else is new?

Those who have never seen Kevin Durant without a basketball jersey on would probably be surprised to see how many tattoos he has. The Oklahoma City Thunder star is loaded with ink. Durant’s tattoos are mostly on his chest and back, so they can’t be seen while he’s on the court. A couple of years ago we showed you some of his tattoos and the explanations behind them, and it appears he is not done adding to the designs just yet.

Durant got a back tattoo that said “Maryland” across his shoulders with a religious figure underneath it nearly two years ago. You can see an image of the original tattoo here. On Monday, Durant wrote on Instagram that he is “finishing my back piece” and shared the photo you see above.

It looks like he has added a portrait of Jesus since our last update. The important thing is he continues to keep it classy, which isn’t a surprise. As long as he doesn’t get any terrifying back tattoos like this, fans have nothing to worry about.

You know how we know Michigan and Ohio State have arguably the greatest rivalry in North American sports? The schools never seem to run out of creative ways to take shots at one another. The Buckeyes and Wolverines have brought us countless epic battles on the field over the years, but the way the schools express their hatred for one another off the football field and basketball court is equally entertaining.

Take the ball you see above, for example. Michigan wide receiver Bo Dever showed us the team’s new footballs on Tuesday, which as you can see feature an inscription that reads “Made in USA, not in Ohio”

The Wolverines have gone to great lengths to renew their hatred for their fiercest rival since the end of the season. Between their new pigskins and that jersey quarterback Devin Gardner wore during the spring game, they have already fired several offseason shots. Your move, Buckeyes.

Andre Ethier was ejected in the eighth inning of the Los Angeles Dodgers’ 3-1 win over the Milwaukee Brewers on Monday night for apparently arguing balls and strikes. He also may have been upset over Brewers pitcher Michael Gonzalez throwing a pitch over his head on an 0-2 count and not being warned, but none of that really matters.

The real takeaway here is the death stare Ethier shot at home plate umpire Dan Bellino on his way from the dugout to the clubhouse. If you want to look at it as a staring contest, it’s probably safe to say Bellino one if only because manager Don Mattingly and bench coach Trey Hillman dragged Ethier away before he got himself into more trouble.

And you thought this death stare was the most intense one we were going to see on the baseball diamond this season? Think again.

There are times when his emotions get the best of him, but his fiery personality has made him one of the better relievers in baseball over the past few seasons. That being said, Twitter is not always the best place for someone who is clearly bothered by the things fans say to him.

On Saturday, Perez blew a save against the Seattle Mariners but ended up getting the win after his teammates bailed him out. He then gave up a solo home run in the ninth inning of a tie game against Seattle on Monday, but Cleveland went on to win in extra innings. Following that outing, Perez disappeared from Twitter.

As Pat McManamon of FOX Sports Ohio pointed out, Perez was blasted on Twitter all weekend following his sub-par performances. Followers hurled all the usual “I can say this because I’m hiding behind a computer” insults his way before Perez had apparently had enough.

Perez is not the first noteworthy athlete to abruptly leave Twitter and he certainly won’t be the last, but his exit serves as a reminder that even professional athletes get sick of hearing negative comments from fans. Sometimes it’s just not worth it.

His contract was up and the team decided not to bring him back.

Del Negro coached the team the last three seasons. They went 32-50 in his first season, 40-26 in his second season, and 56-26 this season.

The Clippers beat the Memphis Grizzlies in the first round of the NBA playoffs last year, but they lost to them in the first round this year.

Despite having success last season, there were questions about his job security going back to last year.

Del Negro has long been considered the weak link on a team with a talented roster. His substitution patterns are questionable, as was the way he managed some of his key reserve players in the playoffs this year. Moves such as having top bench player Jamal Crawford only play 12 minutes in a season-ending Game 6 loss to the Grizzlies were inexplicable and, when asked about the decision, Del Negro had little explanation. At various points throughout the season, the players seemed to express frustration with him as coach.

The firing of Del Negro should also give the Clippers a much better shot at retaining Chris Paul in free agency.
