Aaron Hernandez

More information continues to emerge in the case of Aaron Hernandez’s suicide last month.

Many of the details surrounding the former NFL tight end’s suicide were reported in the days following his death, though some of it was based on unconfirmed reports.

Now TMZ Sports is sharing information from the official police report that confirms and clears up some of the previous reports.

According to the police report, Hernandez had “John 3:16” written in blood on his jail cell walls. There were also drawings in the cell in blood. Hernandez had a bible opened in his cell to John 3:16 with the passage marked in blood. He also had John 3:16 written on his forehead in ink.

Hernandez had shampoo on the floor of his cell to make things slippery so he couldn’t regain his footing if he tried to reconsider his suicide attempt. He had a fresh cut on his finger and blood marks on his feet.

Hernandez died on April 19, five days after being acquitted in a double murder trial. Prosecutors are asking a judge in the case not to overturn his conviction for the Odin Lloyd murder.
