DA in Aaron Hernandez case seeks public’s help in locating missing car mirror
Bristol District Attorney Sam Sutter turned to the public for help in the Odin Lloyd murder case on Tuesday morning, putting out a picture of a silver 2013 Nissan Altima with a missing side-view mirror. According to the Boston Herald, police believe the mirror could be a key piece of evidence and are asking for assistance in locating it.
Aaron Hernandez is believed to have been riding in the car along with Odin Lloyd and two other suspects, Ernest Wallace and Victor Ortiz, shortly before Lloyd was murdered.
“This mirror may be found in a wooded or secluded area, somewhere close to the route from Fayston Street Boston down Route 95, to Ronald C Meyer Drive North Attleboro,” Sutter said in a press release. “The North Attleboro Police and the Massachusetts State Police Detectives … continue to actively investigate the homicide. If you have any information regarding the whereabouts of this evidence, please notify the North Attleboro Police Department at (508) 695-1212.”
Police have had decent luck so far in locating evidence and suspects when turning to the public for help. Less than 24 hours after investigators released wanted posters with Wallace’s face on them, the 41-year-old turned himself in. Prior to that, a resident of an apartment complex in Connecticut helped locate a silver vehicle police believe Hernandez may have rented as a getaway car for his accomplices.
