Report: Aaron Rodgers may get $110 million guaranteed in next contract
As top NFL quarterbacks get richer and richer, Green Bay Packers star Aaron Rodgers looks to be one of the next to cash in, potentially at record levels.
In speaking with agents, CBS Sports’s Jason La Canfora predicted that Rodgers will probably get at least $110 million in guaranteed money over the first three years of his next contract, with a distinct possibility of more.
Rodgers has two years left on his current deal, but is in a strong negotiating position after the Kirk Cousins and Matt Ryan contracts signed this offseason. The Packers side is not helped by some of the organizational moves they’ve made, either.
Ryan signed a deal that guarantees him $100 million earlier this month. Rodgers is more accomplished and has won a Super Bowl, so all logic would indicate that he stands to earn even more in a new deal.
