Aaron Rodgers booed by Packers fans

Aaron Rodgers

Aaron Rodgers experienced an unusual feeling on Sunday — opposition from his home fans.

Rodgers was putting together a lackluster game against the Dallas Cowboys at Lambeau Field, which included a fumble inside the five, an interception, and a few badly missed passes, when he was booed by the fans in the second half.

Rodgers entered the game with nine touchdowns against three interceptions, but he hadn’t had a 300-yard game and wasn’t dominating the league in the MVP form Packers fans are used to seeing.

So with Brett Favre in the house to be honored at Lambeau Field, Packers fans were expecting a lot out of Rodgers. Instead, they got more mediocrity, which is what they’ve seen out of Rodgers mostly this season, with the exception of his four-touchdown game in Week 3 against Detroit.

To be fair, given how great Rodgers has been, fans have a good reason to expect excellence, but it’s not often you hear them turn on Rodgers.
