Aaron Rodgers improving, still considered day-to-day

Aaron Rodgers

While it is still premature to figure out whether or not quarterback Aaron Rodgers will start for the Green Bay Packers on Sunday, the signs continue to be positive.

Coach Mike McCarthy said Friday that Rodgers feels better than he did when the practice week started and remains day-to-day. Much will be determined by how he gets through Saturday’s practice.

Rodgers has a knee sprain and the Packers have been managing expectations about his status for Sunday against the Minnesota Vikings. At this point, the situation may best be characterized as cautious optimism, and we should know much more tomorrow.
