Adrian Clayborn’s pass rush caused Nate Solder to fall on Tom Brady

Tom Brady knee injuryTom Brady went down with a possible left knee injury during the New England Patriots’ joint practice with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Wednesday, leaving fans hysterical.

Not much is known about Brady’s status at this point, but a fan capturing video of the play where the injury occurred has given us some understanding of what happened. As we can see in the video, there was a scrum in front of Brady after he released a pass, and some players got pushed into him.

According to WEEI, former Bucs first-round pick Adrian Clayborn says he pushed Pats offensive lineman Nate Solder, who fell onto Brady.

“I bull rushed the tackle and apparently he tripped on Brady and fell on him,” Clayborn said, via WEEI.

“You always have to stay away from the quarterback, but if you get a guy on his heels, my instinct is to keep going. And that’s what I did.”

The team’s were in an 11-on-11 drill when the potential injury occurred. Brady went to the sidelines and then returned for a few plays before leaving again.
