Adrian Peterson, Greg Jennings support Leslie Frazier

Leslie FrazierLeslie Frazier’s job is in jeopardy with the Minnesota Vikings, but he has the support of two of the team’s top players.

According to Chris Tomasson of the St. Paul Pioneer Press, Adrian Peterson went to bat for Frazier last week and plans to lobby again for the coach to keep his job.

“I’m definitely not an individual that’s looking for dramatic change,” Peterson said after being held to just 45 yards on 11 carries against the Bengals. “So, yeah. it would hurt if (Frazier) leaves.”

Peterson plans to talk to ownership after the season about Frazier keeping the job.

Jennings, who is in his first season with the Vikings, says Frazier has his full support.

“I’m in full support of Coach Frazier,” Jennings said. “He’s my head coach. … Whatever decisions are made down the road, that’s in the hands of the guys upstairs, the ownership. I’m in full support of Coach Frazier.”

Even though some players support Frazier, it doesn’t sound like he’ll be able to keep the job.

FOX’s Jay Glazer reported on Sunday that the Vikings’ improved performance in recent weeks helped Frazier’s case to keep the job, but he still believes Frazier won’t be back next year. Why should he be? At 4-10-1, the Vikings have been pretty terrible this season.
