Adrian Peterson reportedly leaves Patriots visit without contract offer
Adrian Peterson visited with the New England Patriots on Monday, but the veteran running back has reportedly not received a contract offer from the team.
According to ESPN’s Field Yates, Peterson left Foxboro without a deal but the two sides could still have discussions in the future.
Adrian Peterson's visit with the Patriots has concluded. Per sources, he's leaving without a deal…for now. Could revisit later.

Peterson would seemingly be a good fit with the Patriots if he is willing to sign a team-friendly deal and they choose to not re-sign LeGarrette Blount. Peterson does not do his best work in the passing game, but New England already has players like Dion Lewis and James White to fill that role. The 32-year-old would likely play on early downs if he signed with the Pats.
Almost a full month into free agency, Peterson still has not found a home. A report from earlier on Monday claimed there are several teams who are interested in signing him, but the former Minnesota Vikings averaged just 1.9 yards per carry last season and is coming off another serious knee injury. The market for A.P. is obviously not scorching hot.
