Adrian Peterson puts hands together to pray during national anthem
The New Orleans Saints followed through with their plan to kneel before the playing of the national anthem and stand during it in London on Sunday, and Adrian Peterson did something slightly different from the rest of his teammates.
Peterson linked arms with other Saints players, but he also put his hands together in a praying motion.

Three Miami Dolphins players kneeled during the American anthem and then stood for “God Save the Queen.”
Kenny Stills, Michael Thomas and Julius Thomas kneeled during American anthem, stood for God Save the Queen.

Last week, Ray Lewis kneeled with Baltimore Ravens players and later explained that he was praying, not protesting. That did not stop the former linebacker from facing a tremendous amount of backlash due to his perceived hypocrisy on the subject.
