Adrian Peterson returns to practice
As promised, Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson returned to practice on Wednesday.
Peterson has been on injured reserve, though the team can now designate him to return. It remains unlikely that he will play on Sunday against the Indianapolis Colts, but Peterson said previously that he will return to the field this season as long as the Vikings remain in the playoff hunt.

Peterson suffered an MCL injury in Week 2 (video here), and it was obviously fairly serious. However, there’s a reason Minnesota did not place him on season-ending IR. Earlier in the week, A.P. said he is eyeing his team’s Week 16 game against the Green Bay Packers as a potential return date.
