Adrian Peterson admitted to smoking weed, could be arrested again
Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson could be arrested again this week after he allegedly admitted to using marijuana while out on $15,000 bond.
According to Isiah Carey of Fox 26 News, Montgomery County prosecutors have filed paperwork requesting that Peterson’s bond be set aside and he be arrested again after the 29-year-old admitted to “smoking a little weed” while out on bond. Peterson allegedly made the revelation while submitting to a urinalysis during his first court appearance on Wednesday.
Carey included a copy of the paperwork on his website.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that Peterson likely will not be arrested again on Thursday, as the current judge overseeing his case is facing a recusal hearing that is set to take place on Friday morning. It is possible that Peterson will be taken into custody again on Friday.
Peterson had previously been arrested on felony child abuse charges and was expected to plead not guilty on Wednesday, but his arraignment has been postponed. Earlier this week, a report surfaced that smeared Peterson’s image even further and detailed an alleged hotel sex party and some shady financial records from his charitable organization. Peterson later took to Twitter to blast the report.
