Adrian Peterson has torn meniscus, not ruled out for Week 3
Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson suffered a torn meniscus in his knee Sunday night, but he has not yet been ruled out for Week 3.
Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer gave Dan Barreiro of KFAN the news and said the timetable for Peterson’s return is uncertain.

Considering Peterson was unable to leave the field under his own power and appeared to be in serious pain after suffering the injury (video here), this should be considered good news. While it would not be a surprise if A.P. missed multiple games, the injury is less severe than a torn ACL and is unlikely to keep him out for the remainder of the season.
With the Vikings having already lost Teddy Bridgewater for the year, they can ill afford to be without their most important offensive player.
