Report: AJ Green has hamstring strain, may only miss a few weeks
The worst fears the Cincinnati Bengals had regarding A.J. Green’s hamstring injury may not be coming to pass.
According to NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport, Green’s injury is being characterized as a strain, and it will likely keep him out for a few weeks.
#Bengals got some good news on WR AJ Green. Source says he’s probably out a few weeks. No surgery. Calling it a strain (small tear).

Bengals coach Marvin Lewis, meanwhile, confirmed that the team expects Green back before the season ends.

The initial fear was that Green’s season was over. Missing him for a few weeks is not optimal, but it’s a lot better than the alternative.
