Andrew Luck officially ruled out for Week 1
The Indianapolis Colts finally confirmed on Monday that Andrew Luck will not play in the team’s Week 1 game against the Los Angeles Rams.
Colts general manager Chris Ballard said that Luck is prepared “mentally,” but physically the quarterback is not yet ready to go.

Asked if Luck is ready, "He's a competitor. You've been around Andrew… Mentally, he's in the best place he's been."

Veteran quarterback Scott Tolzien will start against the Rams on Sunday, with the newly-
acquired Jacoby Brissett serving as his backup.
Colts fans received good news over the weekend when Luck was activated from the PUP list, meaning the team expects him to be ready before Week 6. However, the timetable for his return still remains unclear. The Colts do not want Luck playing hurt again after he underwent surgery for an injury he suffered more than a season ago. They’re going to play it safe and think long-term.
