Saints OL Andrus Peat reportedly suffered broken fibula
The New Orleans Saints have dealt with a number of injuries along their offensive line this season, and they lost another key player in their playoff game against the Carolina Panthers on Sunday.
Former first-round pick Andrus Peat was carted off with a leg injury in the first half. He was fitted with an air cast on the field, and Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports that an X-ray showed Peat suffered a broken fibula.
#Saints G Andrus Peat suffered a broken fibula, sources say. He’s out for the game and will have an MRI to determine if there is ligament damage. Rough blow to Peat and that O-line.

From the way it sounds, the Saints will not get Peat back for the remainder of the postseason.
Fortunately, starting offensive tackle Terron Armstead returned for the Saints this week.
LG Andrus Peat has been great for Saints this year, but luckily they just got LT Terron Armstead back from injury this week, and veteran G Senio Kelemete has started a lot of games this year as those 3 guys have handled those two positions.

Offensive line is an important position for the Saints, who have suddenly become a more run-heavy team with their dynamic running back duo of Mark Ingram and Alvin Kamara. Losing Peat will be tough to overcome.
