Andy Reid: Eric Berry may have torn Achilles’ tendon
The Kansas City Chiefs’ impressive season-opening road win over the New England Patriots was marred by an injury to Eric Berry.
Berry was carted off the field during the fourth quarter after suffering a non-contact injury to his left Achilles’ tendon while covering Rob Gronkowski.
After the game, Chiefs head coach Andy Reid said Berry may have torn the tendon.

Berry was excellent covering Gronkowski all game, limiting the All-Pro tight end to two catches for 33 yards. He is regarded as one of the best safeties in football, which is why Kansas City gave him a six-year, $78 million deal in February.
