Antonio Brown taken to hospital for further evaluation
Antonio Brown was taken to the hospital for further evaluation, possibly indicating that the leg injury he suffered is much more serious than just a simple bruise.
Brown was injured trying to make a catch in the end zone early in the second quarter on Sunday against the New England Patriots. The Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver had to be helped off the field, then was taken in for examination.
The Steelers initially termed Brown questionable to return to the game with a calf injury. Further reports said Brown has a bone bruise and avoided a broken leg. But if he’s being taken to the hospital, it sounds like the injury could be serious.
Brown had two catches in the game prior to departing. That gave him 101 catches for the season, making him the first NFL player in history with five consecutive 100-catch seasons.
