Antonio Brown reportedly making progress, expected back for playoffs

Antonio Brown

The Pittsburgh Steelers will have two full weeks off before they begin their quest for a Super Bowl, and it sounds like they expect Antonio Brown to be good to go when the postseason begins.

Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports reported on Sunday that Brown has been showing progress since he suffered a calf injury two weeks ago. The Steelers are said to be “very optimistic” about Brown’s chances to play in the divisional round of the playoffs.

La Canfora adds that it would have been a “stretch” for Brown to play in the wild card round, but fortunately that isn’t a problem the Steelers will have to deal with. While Brown has still been walking with a limp, he has reportedly been receiving treatment as often as possible and is determined to play in two weeks.

Brown’s calf injury has been described as everything from a partial tear to a “significant contusion,” which is what Steelers coach Mike Tomlin called it. In any event, we have heard some positive updates about his recovery lately.
