Antrel Rolle thinks New York Giants can go 12-0

Antrel RolleThe New York Giants are 0-4 and look like a disaster, but Antrel Rolle hasn’t given up hope on the season. In fact, the Giants defensive back believes the team can turn it around by running the table.

Rolle spoke after Tom Coughlin during the team’s meeting on Monday, and that’s when he told his teammates he believed they could still go 12-4.

“I believe we can go 12-0 from this point on, I truly believe that,” Rolle said Monday, via the Star Ledger. “People may look at me like I’m crazy but I couldn’t really give a damn at this point. That’s what I believe. I know the talent of this team, I know the mindset of this team. We just have to go out there and put it all together.”

Although Rolle’s comments sound ridiculous to outsiders, I absolutely love them. When you’re in an 0-4 hole and had your potato pounded by a combined 69-7 in the last two games, it’s easy to give up and pack it in. But Rolle still has confidence, and that’s what it takes to turn it around. Are you going to tell me they can’t get on the board with a home win over Philly this weekend?

I don’t think the Giants are going to go anything better than 8-8 if they can even pull that off, but I won’t knock Rolle’s mentality. I think it’s admirable. And between Rolle’s comments and Justin Tuck’s, it’s clear the Giants aren’t giving up yet.
